Summary

The human brain uses metaphors to make sense of abstract ideas. How you frame your case and the metaphors you use can trigger emotional, cultural and social beliefs that influence a juror’s view of your client and your client’s case. The right framing can determine if jurors identify with your client or with the defendant and whether they find your client deserving of compensation.

R. Rex Parris will demonstrate the practical application of cognitive science and behavioral economics in personal injury, employment, pharmaceutical, business and class-action litigation. These techniques are based on the neuroscience of how people make sense of the world and make decisions that are in line with their view of how the world should work. They are applicable to any controversy and will increase the value of cases sitting on your desk right now!
